Glitter Tattoos
What are Glitter Tattoos?
Glitter Tattoos are a fairly new form of temporary body art which are taking the country by storm! "Glitter Tats" are waterproof and perfect for beach or pool parties.
To apply a glitter tattoo, the artist paints a thin layer of theatrical acrylic adhesive (approved for cosmetic use) onto the skin in the desired pattern, then covers the adhesive with cosmetic grade glitter. Glitter tattoos are not applied to the face, (since they require rubbing alcohol to remove them) but can be applied to the arm, neck, back, ankle, etc.
Very popular with teens and adults!

Caring for your Glitter Tattoo
To prolong the life of the tattoo, avoid scrubbing the area when wet, and avoid using sunscreen or lotion over the tattoo, as the oils will speed the breakdown of the adhesive.
Glitter Tattoos may be removed by wetting the area with rubbing alcohol, letting it soak in, then gently scrubbing with a rag or paper towel. Some find that using mineral oil works also. Most of the time, kids just pick at it and peel it off in the bathtub!
