| Face Painting Imagine your daughter's delighted smile when she looks at herself in the mirror and sees a beautiful butterfly or princess design on her face! Or how much fun your son will have pretending to be a pirate, tiger, or superhero for a day! Face painting taps into the inner artist in all of us, the desire to be creative, make believe, role-play, and show how unique and special we are as individuals. Robin is an award-winning face painter with over 10 years experience (for more details, see "About the Artist"), She uses only professional cosmetic facepaints which have been approved by the FDA for use on skin, and cosmetic grade glitters. She cares too much about the safety of you and your child to use cheap craft paints and glitters, which may produce irritation or allergic reactions. The professional facepaint goes on quickly and easily, dries quickly on the skin (so it can be touched and does not smudge easily), yet can be easily removed with warm soapy water or wet facial wipes. All designs are painted on the skin freehand using brushes and sponges. Sometimes people comment that the designs look airbrushed, because of the fine blending of colors, but this effect is produced by skill and high-quality facepaint and sponges, not by special equipment. Doing everything freehand allows for more flexibility with setup (no electricity needed, very little space needed) and also more room for creativity. In addition to doing beautiful work, Robin is very fast; most of the faces you will see in the galleries only take 3-5 minutes for her to paint, she averages 12-18+ faces per hour. However for high-volume events such as grand openings, school or church events, or business promotions she can also do many quicker designs which take only a minute or two, so she can average as high as 30 or more faces per hour. For examples of Robin's work, see the photo galleries. |
